📚 “It’s None of My Business”
Chapter 1 — Invisible Cracks
For years, Sophie lived under the weight of constant criticism.
Her parents, her brothers, her sisters… always a word to put her down, reminding her that she “wasn’t enough.”
The final blow came from her own teenage son during an argument:
— “You never understand anything, you ruin everything!”
That night, something inside her broke.
Sophie realized she was alone, even in her role as a mother.
Chapter 2 — The Break
The remarks became daily.
Her efforts went unnoticed.
Her fatigue was mocked.
Then she made a decision no one else dared to: leave.
Not just leave the family home.
But also give up custody of her son.
Chapter 3 — The Legal Battle
In court, everyone expected her to fight.
But when the judge gave her the floor, Sophie said calmly:
— “I am not seeking custody.”
A chilling silence fell.
Her son, sitting next to his father, stared at her in disbelief.
— “You are refusing custody of your child?” asked the judge, astonished.
— “Yes. I will pay child support, but I refuse to stay in an environment where I am humiliated. Even by my own son. This is not love. This is slow destruction. I choose to leave.”
In the courtroom, people looked at her like she was a monster.
But for Sophie, it was a liberation.
Chapter 4 — The Departure
That very evening, she packed her bags.
No explanations. No goodbyes.
To those who tried to stop her, she simply said:
— “It’s none of my business.”
And she closed the door on that past.
Chapter 5 — A New Life
She started her own business.
Finally, she experienced freedom, recognition, and then love with a man different from anyone she had ever known.
From their union, a child was born.
A new household, full of respect and joy.
Chapter 6 — Attempts from the Past
Years went by.
Her former family tried to reach out.
Calls, letters, meeting requests. Even her son, now a young adult, tried to reconnect.
Sophie never yielded.
No anger, no hatred—only definitive silence.
Because she had chosen peace.
Chapter 7 — On the Street
One day, while walking with her partner and their new baby, she ran into her former family by chance.
— “Sophie, wait! Can we talk?” called a voice.
She paused for a moment. Everyone expected a sign, a word.
But her gaze remained cold.
Without replying, she continued walking.
Her baby looked up at her innocently and asked:
— “Mom, who were those people?”
Sophie answered simply:
— “I had another child before you. But he is not part of our life. One day, you and he will share my inheritance. That is all he will know about me.”
And firmly added:
— “He will receive nothing in my will. Not a word. Not a letter. Not an explanation.”
Her partner squeezed her hand, and they continued on their way.
✨ Moral of the Story
To avoid such heartbreak, remember one simple rule:
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
And if you are treated badly, never be afraid to leave.
No one deserves to live under contempt.
