📝 The Child Who Wrote Letters to His Future Self
🟡 Chapter 1 – The Boy with the Blue Notebook
Malik was 8 years old when he was placed in foster care.
A canvas bag, three t-shirts, and a blue notebook.
It was the educator who slipped it into his hands, whispering:
— “You can write anything in it. Even to yourself.”
So he wrote. Every night. To "Malik, age 30."
“Are you still afraid?”
“Do you live in a house full of books?”
“Tell me… are we someone good?”
🟡 Chapter 2 – The Invisible Years
The notebook followed him from home to home.
Sometimes he forgot about it.
Sometimes he just scribbled: “Nothing to say. Too sad.”
But he always kept it.
Until one day, at 15, he hid it in a box… and forgot it.
🟡 Chapter 3 – The Rushed Man
At 30, Malik was now a youth worker.
He ran everywhere. He helped. He filled out forms. He never cried.
Until the day a young teenage girl handed him a letter.
— “It’s for later. So I won’t forget.”
It hit him hard. A memory punched him in the chest.
That night, he dug through his basement.
And found the blue notebook.
🟡 Chapter 4 – The Reply
He read it all.
He laughed. He cried. He read it again.
Then he picked up a pen.
“To Malik, age 8.
I live in a house full of books.
I’m still afraid sometimes. But I know how to love.
And you know what? Yes, we became someone good.”
💡 Moral
Never stop writing to the child you once were.
He’s still waiting to see if he was right to hope.
Good evening everyone,
Sorry for this slightly late message and for my lack of posts over the past few days.
I've been very busy, which forced me to take a short break.
I'm slowly getting back into the rhythm and preparing new inspiring stories to share with you very soon.
Thank you for your patience and continued presence.
